Helping a leading pharmaceutical company to hire a very senior consultant programme manager with hard-to-find skills

A leading pharmaceutical company was searching for a very senior consultant programme manager to head up a vital project for a fixed specific period. Before they engaged Quanta, they had invested 3 months of time using local suppliers without finding the calibre of consultant required.

Process

Quanta qualified the comprehensive description of the role and responsibilities to gain a clear understanding of the challenges offered. Quanta then appointed a two-person team to work the ‘Quanta global network’ of highly skilled engineers. Within a week they had identified an individual whom had previously worked with the client for 17 years, though was at that time working on an assignment for a major competitor. While the location was still an issue, the client felt that we had the right candidate. Quanta then set about investigating accommodation and travel arrangements and were able to secure suitable accommodation for the candidate and his wife, and he commenced the assignment within the month.

Outcome

The contract has since been extended twice to enable further work to be undertaken and Quanta has been successful in fulfilling 70% of further requirements for skilled personnel with the client.
