What our candidates say:

I am acutely aware that consultants specialising in contractual work often operate to tight deadlines and demanding specifications. In these circumstances customer and candidate care can falter – but my experience with Quanta has been outstanding.Specialist contractor

Helping a major financial institution to significantly reduce its resourcing costs

When the corporate/investment arm of a global financial company wanted to get its resourcing costs under control – and improve service quality – it turned to Quanta for help.

The client’s business was performing well, but contractor and resourcing costs were spiralling year-on-year, creating a desire to constrain or reduce the resourcing cost base – while improving service delivery.

The client’s teams consisted of 60 people, split into 4 teams spread across mainland Europe. Senior management within the client’s organisation did not have a detailed understanding of the roles of each team member and how they supported customers.

Quanta began the project with a discovery and planning session, which helped to steer the direction of the overall project. During this phase, it was identified that the client’s organisation was at risk should contractors leave early, disrupting services to the client’s customers.

Actions taken included:

  • Discovery and planning workshop to identify needs and scope the solution
  • Identified and qualified key risk areas
  • Defined a consistent approach to the functional investigation of each team area, including: operational relationship and interface with other teams; team structure, roles and responsibilities; internal customer relationships; performance metrics
  • Operational budget assessment
  • An impact assessment was undertaken to understand the impact and benefits of rationalising the use of contractors

Results included:

Quanta indentified four interrelated business benefits:

  • Process efficiency
  • Staff management and role realignment
  • Cost tracking and management
  • Reduction of business risk

Costs were reduced as a result of:

  • Productivity gains and reduced downtime
  • Cost tracking and improved budgeting processes
  • Preparation of a time-based programm
  • Staffing was reduced by 10 in the first yea
  • Project costs break-even within the first year
  • Cumulative savings by year 5 estimated at $7.5m

“Quanta’s review of our application-support operations brought in added benefits. The team managers were suffering from stress of the day-job; the use of QuantaSensus is delivering job satisfaction back to them.”
