The Role/Job Specification:
- Quickly develop a good working knowledge of the organisation and of the company, and be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the key business processes.
- Have commercial knowledge of commodity derivative products such as power Gas, Oil, Metals, CO2.
- Analyse and prioritise business requirements and problems, and seek effective solutions through improvements in processes and possible enhancements to the existing Endur system.
- Communicate the status of requirements and problems to end users, colleagues and management.
- Provide production support to front, middle and back office users within commodity derivatives.
- Focus on the following applications, Openlink Endur (functional and Technical) All commodity spread sheets, Over night batch support and Market feeds (transactional and referential)
The Ideal Candidate will
- Be a natural problem solver with a strong technical background as you will be required to provide technical and functional analysis on complex Pnl, Risk Analysis, Pricing and Reconciliation problems.
- Have experience of working in an Energy Trading environment and be familiar with the trade life cycle process.
- Coordination of tasks/projects and events associated in particular with the commodity derivatives product line.
- General responsibility for documentation maintenance and update relevant to the application systems used by commodities in particular Sophis and Endur
- Manage and maintain reference data in the production trading systems.
- Essential knowledge of Openlink Endur Version 8 and SQL.
