A Business Analyst with at least 5 years of experience is needed to join a European Energy Trading company at their main UK office. Working within a Business Architecture team, this position will be responsible for providing business analysis to IT project teams and for contributing to the overall IT strategy.
Responsibilities
- Further the business analysis within the Trading domain
- Provide strategic directions for multiple work streams and ensure these are translated into technical solutions
- Work with project delivery teams and strategy/architecture teams
- Interact with other BA`s and Business Analysts
- Research problems, plan and help implement solutions, meet business requirements
- Help shape business models and processes
- Be active in the QA process including on work of other Business Analysts
- Hold key stakeholder meetings
- Negotiate and agree on business decisions with IT and business stakeholders
Skills Required
- You MUST be experienced in energy or financial trading environments
- You will have at least 5 years of Business Analysis experience within a Front Office Financial or Commodity Trading environment
- You should have experience as a business manager/team lead in one trade-related business function and/or commodity
- You will have at least 5 years experience in functional design including data modelling (UML), process modelling, UI design
- Waterfall and Agile development experience
- Detailed knowledge of Quality Assurance processes
- Excellent stakeholder management skills including conference speaking
- You should have excellent English speaking skills and be able and willing to undertake European travel and work
