The Automation Engineer, as part of the project Automation team and a Multi-discipline commissioning team, will support loop check, commissioning and qualification of field devices, instrumentation, associated systems and subsystems. The automation engineer will be responsible for the testing, commissioning and qualification of software in a regulated environment.
Automation engineer will be to
- Facilitate the execution of loop check activities to a Delta V DCS.
- Familiarise oneself with all design elements of the software from control modules to procedures.
- Work as part of a wider commissioning team, facilitating the start up and qualification of bio pharmaceutical process systems.
- Implement the prescribed change control procedures.
- Update design documentation (FRS and DDS) for assigned systems.
- Write new software where functional change is requested.
- Ensure that design intent is met and proven through the execution of start-up activities.
- Ensure functional equivalence with the existing Myozyme process.
- Engage with technical support functions (i.e. process, manufacturing etc.) to resolve issues quickly as they arise through C&Q execution.
- Train new automation personnel in system operations.
Experience
Essential
- Extensive exposure to Bus technologies (Fieldbus, ASIbus and Profibus).
- Be proficient in the design development, testing, operation and qualification of a class based Delta V control platform in a regulated environment.
- A minimum of 5 years` experience in a process automation role in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in pharmaceutical plant commissioning and qualification, preferably in a biotechnology process environment.
- GAMP5 proficiency.
- S88 and S95 proficiency.
