A leading renewable energy developers and operators, and is the UK subsidiary of specialist renewable energy company who develops, builds and operates offshore wind farms along the coasts of several European countries is looking for a CMMS Support Engineer.  They currently have a dedicated Offshore Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Implementation function (OOI) and are currently implementing a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) in the UK at its Offshore O&M control centre.  The CMMS Support Engineer will be responsible for developing maintenance management procedures, be able to analyse business issues, identifying key drivers and also formulate solutions and action plans to deliver improved solutions for a portfolio of bespoke and third party applications within the rapidly expanding offshore renewable energy area of the business.

Principle accountabilities

  • Ensure all work covering scheduled and unscheduled service is reported through the CMMS
  • CMMS work flow is validated and optimised where possible to ensure that all maintenance work is managed in a planned and controlled manner utilising the SAP-PM works management system, including: Statutory, Preventative and breakdown Maintenance and Defect Rectification
  • Management and, co-ordination of all training on the SAP-PM maintenance management system.
  • Production, consolidation, expediting and distribution of the weekly and daily maintenance schedules to Operations Engineers.
  • Production of the daily SAP-PM Notification Reports.
  • Handover of the daily maintenance schedule to the Operations Manager.
  • Production of the weekly SAP-PM work bank reports and monitoring thereof
  • Production of outage opportune maintenance programmes.
  • Establish the operational approach for key operational and maintenance data collection.  This involves collating WTG failure data then systematically processing and organising the work schedules of the maintenance teams. (external or in-house)
  • Close cooperation with the `Users` in Operations to ensure the requirements of the system are met and there is a smooth takeover of an asset into Operations phase.
  • Development and integration of new policies, standards and rules for offshore wind farm / wind turbine safety into SAP-PM workflow.
  • Implementation of Maintenance Management Systems, incorporating safety documentation, tooling, buildings, equipment.
  • Establish best practice in operations and maintenance with associated data collection and knowledge dissemination.
  • Support interfaces with VisSim (RWE Innogy`s Marine Management System) supporting full implementation for offshore (UK).
  • Integration of real time activities into historical records delivering accuracy of information that can be actively used in the CMMS

Knowledge and Skills

  • A strong background working in maintenance and service functions preferably in the power industry
  • Demonstrable experience as a team leader
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Experience of working in a multinational team environment
  • Experience of negotiating O&M service arrangements and concept
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • SAP knowledge would also be advantageous
