An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Application Architect to join a leading global energy trading company in the South West of England. The Application Architect will be working with the Strategy and Architecture team of this Trading entity and be responsible for major project architecture design across front, middle and back offices.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead application architecture for various change projects
• Produce detailed application designs
• Work with development teams
• Provide support and tutoring to junior developers
• Work with other architects and business analysts
• Develop application strategies across front, middle and back offices within the business

Skills Required

• Experience of a Trading environment
• Extensive software design experience
• Experienced with Trading Systems such as Endur, Triplepoint and Solarc
• Ability to problem solve and work problems in association with development teams
• Have knowledge of Data-modelling including XML design
