A major Semiconductor organisation has an urgent requirement for an Application Engineer to work across a number of their growing business units. As the successful Application Engineer you will work together with a multifunctional team to develop and integrate acoustical applications. The work will be based in Belgium and is an opportunity to work with an organisation that has a large focus on innovation within the Semiconductor industry.
The role and responsibilities
- Create demo applications for audio IC’s
- Actively engage as an acoustical expert with customers during the design-in phase of our IC’s
- Perform objective acoustic measurements according to industry standards and subjective (listening tests) experiments
- Help customers in the integration of products into the end applications
- Take care of the acoustical tuning and acoustical qualification of the end product
Ideal level of experience
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics or Digital Signal Processing;
- Have practical experience in electronics and hands-on experience in working with digital signal processors, DSP
- Have a very strong affinity for audio/music
- Able to work together with our demanding customers
- Quality minded and deliver on commitment
Candidates will need to demonstrate
- Free movement around the European Community
- Excellent organisational skills accompanied with high communication skills
- Driven, ambitious and tenacious personality
- A strong background and experience in Semiconductors and Electrical Engineering
