A Test Team Lead (mobile internet) is required to join an international mobile telecommunication company based in the South East. As part of one of the world’s largest mobile companies in the world the opportunities for the successful Test Team Lead are endless.
The Role
Leading a team of around 12 Test Analysts, the Test Team Lead will be responsible for the day to day management, mentoring and technical guidance of the team. They will work closely with the Test Manager and various delivery teams and outsourced suppliers to deliver high quality mobile internet applications across a number of countries.
Key Accountabilities
- Team Leadership, including team task allocation and co-ordination, performance monitoring, technical advice and team coaching.
- Delivery & Planning, estimating accurately project size, scope and resources. Working closely with the Test Manager and Project Managers to formulate project plans, including identifying interdependency issues between and within systems.
- Organise, manage and co-ordinate all mobile portal test activities across multiple countries and teams.
- Ensure quality standards and procedures are implemented, adhered to and met.
Essential Skills
- Previous line management experience
- ISEB/ISTQB certified
- Experience of working in either the internet or mobile internet domain
- An established background within testing, with experience of working with HP Quality Centre
- Experience establishing and managing key supplier and outsourced services relationships
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Confident in a fast paced environment
- Experienced of creating controlled documentation conforming to business standards
Desirable
- Experience within the mobile telecoms domain
- Able to demonstrate an interest in mobile internet technologies, handsets and new developments in this arena
- Degree or relevant industry experience
