People at Quanta: Kasim
At Quanta, we know we’re only as good as our people. That’s why we make it our business to fill our team with the best staff possible. As part of our series about the Quanta story, we’re highlighting some of the people who help make our team so special. First up is Kasim Zargar, a Principal Consultant who has been with us since June 2015.
Prior to starting at Quanta, Kasim was with another company where he felt his ambitions were not being matched. After being contacted by our internal recruiters, he made the move to Quanta and hasn’t looked back.
Recruitment: The beginning
Kasim gained core recruitment skills at the company he worked at previously and had picked up basic sales experience from his time in retail. Having recently graduated from university, Kasim describes himself as being ‘a raw product’ who was naturally good with people and interested in recruitment. Combining previous experience and skills, he has undertaken our Fast Track to Sales(FT2S) programme to gain a greater understanding of the world of sales within recruitment. The in-depth 12-week course provides an intensive overview of the entire sales process, including the challenges consultants will face in their new roles, the power of language and best practice questioning techniques.
“It gave us the tools required to operate as successful sales consultants, all of which I still use today,” Kasim says of the FT2S programme. “I thoroughly enjoyed it because we could gain multiple perspectives on situations; the trainers, my FT2S peers and even senior management were all able to bounce ideas off each other which we could then put to use the following day.”

In keeping with our ethos of only hiring people who are a great fit for the Quanta team, Kasim’s favourite thing about working here is the people. The family-feel is thanks largely to the ‘One Team’ ethos we’re so proud of at Quanta, where achievements are celebrated by all and everyone contributes to providing a high level of service to clients and candidates. We enjoy nights out with colleagues, as a company and with clients, and Kasim points to these as a highlight of his time at Quanta so far.
“Whilst the social aspect is of importance to me, from a professional point of view the reputation we have in the industry is quite special - I was pleasantly surprised to learn how respected we were by clients and consultants when abroad on business,” he says.
Working within the Life Sciences recruitment industry, Kasim enjoys resourcing for one of the busiest global markets. The ongoing demand for medicine and drug treatments means this sector can thrive even during times of economic uncertainty, with the 'feel-good' factor' coming into play, too.
“The fact that the projects we support in the Life Sciences industry will ultimately to help a patient somewhere in the world means I can feel good about the work we carry out too.”
