People at Quanta: Nicolle
Ask anyone at Quanta what they love most about their job and nine times out of ten they’ll tell you it’s all about our people. We pride ourselves on hiring the industry’s best, brightest and most brilliant, one of whom is Nicolle Kniebe. She joined Quanta in 2016 as a Delivery Executive and has since climbed the ranks to become a Principal Consultant. She tells us more about her journey with the business.
What did you do before joining Quanta?
I graduated from Bournemouth University with a Degree in Business Management in 2015 and joined Quanta almost a year later. Before coming to the business, I spent around six months working in a temporary role with another small recruitment agency. This varied position saw me do everything from liaising with candidates and managers through to marketing, finance and social media.
I also had retail experience, both as a Sales Assistant and Store Manager, plus have previously worked for a direct marketing agency doing face to face sales.
What initially attracted you to work at Quanta?
The opportunity to learn a language, different career path options, the training and the friendly work environment! Once I’d decided on a career in recruitment, there was no comparison for me – Quanta stood out by miles compared to other companies I was interviewing with at the time.
What are your favourite things about working at Quanta?
First, the people here are fantastic. Culture is very important to Quanta and we all get on so well both inside and outside of work. We do a lot of socialising together, such as sport, weekends away, meals/drinks and so on. It’s a fun environment to work in and really makes you look forward to coming to work!
Secondly, the office and location are really attractive. I love being on Berkhamsted High Street, as there are a lot of nice shops and restaurants to go out for work lunches and of course pubs and cocktail bars for drinks after work. The new games area upstairs is also a bonus - we currently have a table tennis league which people can take part in during their lunches or after work.
Can you explain your progression through Quanta so far?
I started in April 2016 as Delivery Executive 1, and by December 2016 I had reached the promotion criteria for Delivery Executive 2. From January 2017 I decided to move career paths into sales. I underwent sales training for four months and have been in a sales role from April 2017.
Why do you think Quanta is a good place to start, develop and further your career?
The level of training provided really helps to progress your career in the direction you want to go in. There is so much support given to your development including weekly reviews, training programmes and “SMART Time” which allows anyone to book a one-on-one training session with the either of the two trainers at any time to cover topics of your choice.
What has your experience with the Fast Track programme been like?
I did the Fast Track to Sales programme. It is very intense and requires spending a lot of time off the sales floor during the four-month training schedule. However, I was prepared for this and thoroughly enjoyed the training. The course was very well structured and covered every aspect needed to have a successful career in sales. I wouldn’t have been as prepared or as successful in my sales role without the training that was given. It’s definitely worthwhile doing.
