People at Quanta: Georgia
Georgia Bartropp has worked in recruitment for nearly three years, beginning her career in agencies specialising in medical communications. In July 2017, she made the move from agency-side to in-house recruitment, which brought her to Quanta in April 2018. In just three months she’s fully embedded herself into all things Quanta, committing to further develop the company’s growing team. Here’s her story:
“I’ve been working in recruitment since I left school”
After finishing her A-levels, Georgia decided she’d rather start building her career and earning money immediately than go to university. Following a conversation with her first employer, the idea of recruitment was planted in her head – and the rest is history. The ability to build a career in a social setting is something that draws many school leavers to recruitment, and at Quanta, there is significant opportunity to progress quickly.
“From an internal recruitment perspective, Quanta really appealed to me”
Georgia’s focus on internal development drew her to Quanta, which has experienced rapid growth and been acknowledged with several awards. Georgia says the success of the company speaks for itself. Her hard work is already paying off: Since joining the business three months ago, Georgia has already placed her first two starters.
“From the minute I made contact with Quanta I was told about the training and support here”
Georgia says Quanta’s investment in its people is unlike anything else she’s experienced in recruitment. In previous organisations she’s been thrown into the deep end with no real training, whereas Quanta’s training is much more structured, and is also tailored to your role within the organisation. After taking up the Internal Recruiter position she was offered the chance to participate in the Fast Track to Delivery Executive modules, helping her to not only develop her existing skillset but also learn about the organisation from the ground up. This, plus the four-week induction, helped her to quickly embed herself into the business and hit the ground running.
“Internal recruitment lets me focus completely on Quanta”
Since making the move to internal recruitment, Georgia has found herself thriving in the role. She enjoys being able to hone in on just one business and learn it inside out. Being able to live and breathe the company culture means she finds it easy to sell Quanta to others.
“I’m in charge of the whole internal recruitment process”
From initial sourcing and processing internal referrals through to dealing with applications and interviews, Georgia oversees the end-to-end internal recruitment process at Quanta. She’s heavily involved in candidate attraction and uses a range of tools to identify and attract candidates, including social media and job boards. She’ll be running her first assessment centre in the coming weeks to support the addition of a new cohort of Delivery Executives.

From her initial telephone interview through to meeting the team on her first day, Georgia says Quanta’s positive, friendly environment was an obvious drawcard to working in the Berkhamsted office. The ‘one team’ value means that everyone works as a unit and is on the same page, helping each other out to achieve shared goals and celebrate successes together. Georgia says this makes for an extremely helpful and supportive environment for all team members.
