Automation Engineer - Denmark - 12-Month Contract 

Our client, a global (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation, is recruiting for an Automation Engineer to join them on their new expansion project. Based in a charming Nordic location, this is on a contractual basis, and will involve significantly growing the sites capacity for the manufacture of Biologics.


Responsibilities:
  • Finalise an assessment of the standalone equipment on the project.
  • Clarify what equipment we in the project define as solely standalone equipment, integrated to overall systems (like BMS/VDS, PI, VersionDog, Audit Log and Access Control) and systems interfaced to DeltaV.
  • Clarifying requirements to equipment vendors, ensuring the right solutions specified.
  • Plan for project execution Based on the above assessment a plan must be developed for the project execution including activities like:
  • URS development input
  • Bid package and vendor review
  • Vendor clarification meetings and follow up
  • Vendor documentation review/approval
  • Support process owner during execution
  • Alignment of requirements with site
  • Support vendor FAT testing
  • Vendor installation on site (network connection, connection to PI etc.)
  • Support vendor SAT testing
  • Prepare and perform IQ/OQ
  • Handover to operation
  • SOP preparation Project Execution Execute and lead the project based on the above-mentioned execution plan

Requirements:
  • 8+ years’ experience as automation engineer working with PLC & HMI solutions in large pharma / biotech projects.
  • Experience with Siemens systems and in general communication networks for PLC systems.
  • Self-driven
  • Eye for detail
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Engineering discipline
