BIM Pipework Engineer – Biopharmaceuticals – Permanent – Sydney

Are you looking for your next BIM Pipework Engineer contract? We have an incredibly exciting new requirement that might just be for you.

Our client, a biopharmaceutical company based in Sydney, are looking for a BIM Pipework Engineer for their current project. They are on a mission to ensure lifesaving therapeutic plasma drugs are accessible to all – and as their newest BIM Pipework Engineer, you can help them get there.

BIM Pipework Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Create models of building designs using computer software to ensure that they meet industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with project team members, including architects, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all BIM elements are properly implemented on the job site.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all BIM-related questions and requests.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BIM software, standards, workflows, and processes.
  • Develop and maintain BIM templates, families, libraries, and other shared content.
  • Provide support to bids and projects by maintaining up to date BIM process documentation.
  • Assist project teams with review/approval of subcontractor adherence to BIM Implementation Plan (BIP), including model submittal schedule and updating of the models to reflect as-built conditions for submittal of the record set/project close-out.
  • Implement BIM technologies on construction projects varying in size and scope.
About you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or related field.
  • 10-15 years previous experience in a similar position, ideally within a pharmaceutical company, engineering consultancy or the construction industry.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office packages.
  • Proven experience working with BIM systems such as Aconex, ProjectWise, SharePoint, Teambinder and Commnia.
  • Computer and Software Knowledge and Skills – Expert user in AutoCAD 2d and 3D software and Navisworks, with good working knowledge of REVITT as BIM tool. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, skilled user of a variety of program management tools and software i.e., Microsoft Project.
