Our client specialises in delivering pharma engineering solutions to the Danish pharmaceutical market. Contributing to over 1,300 engineering projects for their customers every year, they are experts in planning and establishing new pharma facilities, including upgrading, expanding, and supporting existing operations. As their impressive portfolio continues to grow, they are looking for a talented Black Utilities Lead to support the success of their latest large scale capital investment project.

Black Utilities Lead Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating Black Utilities activities and liaising with other packages/departments including instrumentation, process, and project management.
  • Responsible for black utilities including heating/cooling systems, steam, and compressed air.
  • Planning and outlining the routing of the piping, looking into the existing facility to understand possibilities.
  • Define and agree, with other Suite team leads and the Project Manager, the physical and procedural scope and scope boundaries, within the facility footprint.
  • Develop, within the overall project schedule, a schedule for the delivery of all aspects of the black utilities for the project.
  • Develop, document, agree and implement an execution strategy to deliver the scope in a controlled and well communicated manner.
  • Facilitate engineering and user requirements for the utility systems.
About you:
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Science Degree in Engineering or Technology related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role – Black Utilities Lead within Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Previous responsibility for taking ownership of Black Utilities projects and Piping.
  • Technical knowledge of black utilities and equipment, biotechnology processes and a working knowledge of FDA and EU regulations is preferred.
  • Experience with Black Utilities – specifically heating and cooling systems, steam, and compressed air.
