To be considered for the position you must have a demonstrable track record of working within a Buying/Procurement function in Bergen, focused on delivering Oil & Gas related projects as knowledge of the local supply chain is key for this role.
- You will be responsible for running a fully audited buying process, utilising the local Bergen supply chain wherever possible.
- A flexible approach is essential as workload and tasks will vary from running mini-tenders, providing recommendations related to contract award, processing framework agreed procurement items, checking invoices and the creation and processing of purchase orders.
- Interfacing with client, suppliers and other subcontractors on the project
- Managing procurement requests and making recommendations as to who should be awarded supply contracts
- Fast moving procurement processes to reach deadlines for the project will be essential
- Oil and Gas background, ideally 3 years+
- Good knowledge of the local supplier market is essential
- Hands on approach
- English & Norwegian language skills
- IFS ERP system experience an advantage
- Experience running tender processes
Duration: Up to 12 Months and flexible in nature, this is due to the varied workload of the yard with repairs, maintenance, servicing, and upgrades.
Rate: 2000-2250 NOK per day (Depending on Experience).
Start: ASAP
