Our client requires a Client Rep / Site Supervisor to oversee the Fabrication yard construction of the offshore foundations for a Floating Wind project.
The role is based in Northern Spain, and will need someone to be based there and work 2-3 days per week.
This role will be ideal for someone who has worked on similar projects, or has experience with large scale structures, concrete or post tensioning.
Responsibilities:
- To monitor the construction progress and quality and report back to the client.
- Provide weekly reports about construction progress including pictures and videos, to ensure quality control.
- To create a report about the construction elements which went according to plan and also which did not do as well, and what learnings can be found from this.
- Report back to the client in a weekly call.
- Educated in civil and / or structural engineering including concrete design and execution, ideally with previous experience of post tensioning
- On a Construction site delivering mass concreting works, ideally more than 18 months
- Strong understanding and experience with concrete design of large scale structures including reinforcement design and detailing, fatigue design and associated construction quality requirements, water tightness design criteria and corrosion protection methodologies.
- Good knowledge of quality control and execution for concrete standards,
- Good knowledge and understanding of concrete execution and construction methodology of large scale structures
- Familiar with offshore concrete design standards to enable implementation of appropriate quality control measures on site,
