Cloud Administrator (AWS & FinOps) - IT - Remote, Spain - 6-Months+ 

Our client, an international IT service provider, is seeking a Cloud Administrator (AWS & FinOps) to join them as a contractor, with the option to work fully remote or onsite within the charming region of Valencia. Starting at an initial 6 month contract, multiple extensions are expected and there is great, long-term potential.


Responsibilities:
  • Administration and support of AWS solutions, with a focus on IaaS and PaaS, supporting the main client and its end customers.
  • Draft technical documentation on the AWS services and related procedures and operations.
  • Work in close collaboration with cloud teams in the operational activities, but focusing on AWS related technologies.
  • Maintain the data platform (based on AWS Athena SQL) to enable cloud billing.
  • Keep update on new trends and service technologies for possible adoption or incorporation.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:
  • 3 or more years of experience with AWS Cloud Platform
  • Understanding of AWS service structure (organisations, accounts & projects) plus AWS core features.
  • Hands-on knowledge of key AWS IaaS and PaaS services (compute, networking, storage, databases and containers).
  • Experience on Infrastructure as Code and Automation (Terraform, Shell scripting, AWS Automation).
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud security.
  • Experience in SQL modeling and queries.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and fluent English skills.
