Commercial Manager - Global Construction Specialist - Permanent Opportunity in Cambridge

Would you like the opportunity to work for a company that turned over approximately £2.5bn in construction projects last year, and be part of continuing this success? Our client is a leader in the Construction sector, and is looking for a Commercial Manager to work on a Pharmaceutical project in Cambridge. 

Duties:
  • Take lead financial role on key projects delivering to agreed targeted profit margins
  • To take responsibility for the regular review of financial performance of projects within the division in order to improve financial certainty and maximise commercial success of projects.
  • To ensure best practice and continuous improvement in divisional financial processes on site.
  • To provide high quality management information to divisional financial director and divisional commercial manager, and support monitoring and advice to financial staff throughout the division
What do you need to bring?
  • A recognised qualification in a building-related subject
  • A strong commercial awareness – you know how to make profit whilst maintaining strong client relationships, delivering quality and staying fully aligned to company values
  • Plenty of enthusiasm and drive – you'll be committed to achieving both personal and divisional success
  • A proactive, diligent and forward-thinking approach
  • Excellent communication skills – you're someone who can get your point across in a positive, honest and constructive way
  • Real focus and a structured style of working with excellent attention to detail
