Commercial Manager - Offshore Wind - Permanent - Glasgow

This opportunity based in Scotland, with our offshore wind client is no different, if you are a Commercial Manager with offshore wind exposure and strong procurement / contract management experience then we may have the opportunity for you.

Working within a major offshore wind developer you will be responsible for the Commercial Management of projects from early phase development through to completion. This could include Joint Venture project structures and therefore experience with joint venture large capital projects is ideal.

This is a key hire that will report to a very senior project level

Responsibilities will include:
  • Development and implementation of a coherent commercial and procurement strategy for projects including Joint Ventures
  • Responsibility at all stages for all main supplier agreements, and state/regulatory level agreements including ensuring compliance
  • Management of tender processes including preparatory works, evaluation, and selection recommendations
  • Effective commercial negotiation and management of all contracts ensuring these are delivered in compliance with HSE, technical quality and cost objectives
  • Key supplier development and relationship management
  • Commercial advisory to project stakeholders including lenders requirements, CAPEX & OPEX estimations
  • Key participant in government/state renewable energy auction/subsidy programmes
Candidates must possess:
  • A university degree in a legal, technical, or commercial discipline
  • Industry leading negotiation skills and a minimum of 10 years relevant project/industry contract, procurement & commercial management experience
  • Knowledge of FIDIC & LOGIC contracts
  • Strong stakeholder management skillset and the ability to successfully engage with & building lasting relationships with senior level internal and external stakeholders
