This contract position is a chance to join an exciting state of the art project lead by one of Europe’s leading renewable energy powerhouses.

This waste to energy technology specialist has won a contract to build a waste treatment plant in the North of Spain the client will lead general contractor consortium and coordinate the planning, design, procurement, erection and commissioning of the complete complex and will erect the turnkey thermal waste to energy plant.

The plant includes a mechanical biological treatment (MBT) stage as well as two waste incineration lines with an annual capacity of 200,000 tonnes of municipal waste.

The commissioning and operation phase is fast approaching and there is a need for experienced commissioning engineers with a mechanical background to join the project.

Scope of work:
As Commissioning Engineer you will work on a new build Energy from Waste site in Spain for a leading client within renewable energy where you will be focusing on the commissioning phase of construction projects. You will be part of a site staff who work with:
  • Preparing, testing and commissioning components and systems.
  • Performing cold and hot tests.
  • Participating in the drying of refractory, steam blowing, adjustments and trial runs.
  • Instructing and training operational staff.
  • Preparing operational documentation
The successful candidate must have worked on 3 energy from waste projects in the past 5 years or have similar experience.
