Construction Design Manager – Pharmaceuticals – Contract – Texas

Would you like to work for an established global pharmaceutical organization investing heavily in CAPEX in North America? If yes, then this is the assignment for you!

Our client with manufacturing facilities in North America, is currently investing significantly in their manufacturing program.As the Construction Design Manager, you will be accountable for the adherence to schedule, budget and delivery quality planning of the architectural and engineering design activities.

Construction Design Manager Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate SME resources for design review and acceptance tasks.
  • Support the procurement process of equipment/ trade packages with regards to technical specification, design and requirements clarification.
  • Work closely with PTM to ensure all design solutions and integration are meeting the needs of Customer and business and within the approved project scope including the effective management of GxP documents.
  • Manage the design firm to achieve project design objectives in compliance with company policies, guidelines, and the User Requirements specification.
  • Lead value engineering, alternative option reviews, constructability reviews and etc including construction, start-up, and commissioning sequencing during design phase.
About You:
  • BS Engineering degree or higher.
  • Experience of A/E Design Firm project execution
  • 12 years + pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical engineering project experience.
  • Previous experience in design of project >$50 MM
  • Knowledge of and direct operational experience within manufacturing facilities ideally within an API facility
  • Knowledge and experience of project execution for fully automated facility design
  • Experience of facility design in a 3D Model / BIM environment utilizing integrated project delivery
  • Experience with 3D model and client design reviews
