A hands-on operator (not management) who enjoys getting involved and taking responsibility for items with the following skills: -
- Construction Contract experience
- Good team player with professional relationship building ability
- Excellent communication skills, work ethic and attitude to responsibilities
- Previous experience of working within a Contracts / Project Controls group
- Understanding of how Contracts work (change order, instructions, payment applications, risk registers)
- Experienced in working in high pressure project environments
- Strong system and process operator - e.g. purchase ledger/order systems
- Understanding of development and change management on large Projects (excessive of $100m)
- Extensive administration experience
- User knowledge of SAP, Oracle
Job Role
Position will involve supporting the Contracts Manager by preparing document submissions and carrying out activities focusing on preparation and validation of details within payment applications to ensure accuracy, reviewing supporting documentation, content and adherence to contract payment terms. Job role will include: -
- Monitoring and forecasting mobilisation / demobilisation claims
- Monitoring training that can be claimed under the Contract
- Maintaining Risk register
- Adapting to progressive task expansion
- Maintaining Contract variation/change order registers
- Process review and change management,
- Excel workbook development,
- intelligence gathering, and inter department liaison
- Reconciling Payment Certificates to payment applications
- Processing of Timesheets for reimbursable personnel
- Expedition of Plant & Labour returns
- Processing of invoices for reimbursement under the Contract
Skills
- Computer literate with Microsoft XL and word
- Data base SQL
- Coding C# Angular
- Advanced level of excel understanding
- User knowledge of SAP, Oracle, accounting software
- Project cost risk monitoring and reporting
- Experience of working for Contract Administration
- Basic understanding of how Contracts work
Basic GCSE requirements in English, Maths + 6 others as minimum.
Minimum NVQ level in Administration.
Professional Qualifications not essential however correct experience and personality that will fit the team is what is required. Requirement to hire a candidate quickly who needs no training and can be immediately effective.
