Cost Manager - Life Sciences - North East England - 12-Month Contract 

Our client are leading specialists in providing project management, cost management and construction management services. They are taking on projects across Europe and the UK and this is a fantastic opportunity to join their team!

We have an exciting opportunity with this client to help deliver some of the largest and most prestigious developments in Ireland and Europe.


Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for implementing administering and maintaining cost control systems and procedures to track budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of cost estimates and schedules for projects of medium complexity and values.
  • Managing projects from start to finish, including planning, organizing, staffing, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and reporting results.
  • Evaluate and analyse fee proposals / bids and provide recommendation for decision making.
  • Provide forecasts and cash flow analysis.
  • Reviewing contractor and subcontractor pricing and leading negotiations on behalf of the client to drive fair contract prices.

Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience working in a Cost Manager or similar commercial role.
  • Excellent IT Skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to engage and build relationships at all levels.
