You will be overseeing the build of a brand-new facility and then moving onto a Critical Facilities Manager role. You will be representing the clients’ interests during the build and the point of contact for their Hyper-scale customers.
As this will be their first hire into Europe it presents an opportunity for quick and substantial career growth and you will be tasked to build your team for continued maintenance of the 60 MW Data Centre campus.
Overview of responsibilities
- Manage the complete physical asset pertaining to the Operation and Maintenance of the critical and noncritical data centre infrastructure equipment and systems.
- Build a team of qualified technicians and junior managers with the necessary skill sets to deliver total availability to customers while minimising risk.
- Manage power and cooling capacity and monitor environmental conditions within the Data Halls
- Resolve all electrical, mechanical and Fire Protection System issues in the data centre while minimising risk, business impact and communicate issues to management and customers in a timely manner
- On-call 24x7 to respond to all data centre emergencies
- Manage the customer relationship and act as the single point-of-contact for all facility-related issues, including, but not limited to schedules, new business, projects, budgets and expansion and staffing
- Degree qualified
- 5-7+ years’ experience working in data centres environments.
