Electrical Commissioning Lead – Madrid, Spain – 24-Month Contract with extensions.

Looking for an opportunity to join a global Data Centre Commissioning Agent that specialise in supporting hyperscale clients in the Data Centre industry?

Having received significant project demands in Europe, this established data centre commissioning specialist is looking to expand the team and require Electrical Commissioning Engineers to join and support the team that take data centre design to client occupation. 

Role responsibilities

This role is for a commissioning engineer so while QAQC may factor as part of the role, primarily, this commissioning engineering will be:
  • Electrical Cx Engineer – support the commissioning team for the commissioning of HV/MV systems, UPS systems and Distribution and Generator systems for mission critical projects.
  • Writing, managing and executing L3, L4 and L5 commissioning with vendors
  • Supporting and overseeing IST (Integrated system testing)
  • Troubleshooting Electrical issues and participating in the IRL process
  • Participating/chairing commissioning and progress meetings and issuing meeting minutes
  • Represent the Cx agent on projects in a professional manner
Requirements
  • Previous experience in L3-L5 & IST testing and commissioning
  • Experience writing and executing commissioning scripts for a Data Centre
  • Must be proficient in computer systems including commissioning software (e.g., Compass, BIM 360, Facility Grid etc.), word, excel, powerpoint
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English
  • L8 degree in or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. 
  • Trade qualification also considered with suitable experience
