Our global life sciences client are looking for the support of an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support electrical projects and infrastructure on site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure site electrical installations/associated systems are compliant with legal requirements
  • Ensure site electrical drawings & documentation is complete, in date and compliant
  • Support new site project delivery
  • Offer prompt electrical fault finding & troubleshooting support for all site plant, equipment and infrastructure
  • Ensure all electrical maintenance schedules, routines, proof tests etc. are conducted safely, precisely and on time
  • Develop preventive maintenance practices
  • Offer support for instrumentational and PLC issues
  • Identify where new or replacement equipment is required for site
  • Organize, supervise and co-ordinate 3rd party support when required
Key Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Apprenticeship trained in either an Electrical or Instrumentation background and qualified to ONC or equivalent level
  • At least 5 years on site experience at a chemical engineering facility or similar environment
  • DSEAR / ATEX knowledge
  • Knowledge of instrumentation systems
  • Knowledge of PLC control systems and ladder logic
  • Able to read / understand schematic and wiring diagrams
  • Fault finding ability on both electrical and instrumentation systems up to 415V
Must Have Criteria:
  • C&G 2382-12 IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition
  • C&G 2391-52 Testing certificate or EAL equivalent 4337 / 4338
  • COMPEX Ex1-4
