Energy Systems Manager – Dublin – Data Centres

Are you looking to grow your career at a company that is going through a hyper-growth phase? Our client is an international data centre developer providing large-scale assets across EMEA.

To support the client’s management, we are looking for an Energy Systems Manager to manage all aspects of on-site generation and power provision activities.

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership across the entire organisation from a power provision perspective – interact with other disciplines including site selection, design, and sales to ensure successful delivery of overall company goals.
Review, input and support all elements of the power infrastructure design process.
Interface with the project delivery team in terms of commissioning and operational readiness for all elements of the client’s power delivery infrastructure.
In conjunction with the Head of Energy Systems, the Energy Systems Manager will: Devise and implement the Operations and Facility Management Strategy for all elements of power provision, including on site generation and grid imported power with a focus on continuous improvement, industry best practice, preventative and predictive maintenance.
Manage all third parties involved in the delivery of power services to the data centre facilities.
Oversee all elements of equipment maintenance, advise on upgrades and servicing requirements.
Be responsible for risk identification, mitigation, and management across the client’s power provision infrastructure.

Requirements:

At least 8 years’ experience in an energy systems manager role (or similar) with first-hand experience of the operations and facility management of a grid scale power generation facility.
Oversee all elements of equipment maintenance, advise on upgrades and servicing requirements.
Be responsible for risk identification, mitigation, and management across the client's power provision infrastructure.
A degree electrical engineering preferable but open to mechanical.
Thorough understanding of all elements of power provision infrastructure.
Proven track record in effective third party and vendor management.
Strong communicator with proven experience providing reports and updates to various stakeholder groups - both internal and external.
