Do you have Wind Energy Yield Assessment experience and looking to maintain your remote working status even after Covid-19 restrictions?
Quanta are exclusively supporting our client, a leader within the onshore wind and solar consultancy sector for a Wind Energy Yield Assessment Engineer to support their Advisory Services team in the UK.
This opportunity can be based anywhere in the UK and is predominantly remote working based. Candidates will need to be prepared to spend roughly three days every three weeks in London.
You will utilise your Energy Yield assessment skills to deliver services primarily for onshore Wind energy but also for Solar projects. Advising project investors, lenders and other clients across a variety of both established and emerging geographic markets and on a day to day basis will be responsible for:
- Due diligence analysis for wind resource, energy yield, project capacities and project layout/site suitability analysis
- Interface with turbine suppliers to assess turbine suitability, you may also be asked to provide similar services for solar projects so interfacing with solar equipment suppliers for appropriate technology options
- Analyse & reporting of site measurement data and production data; Met Mast, SODAR & LiDAR
- Accurately producing wind/solar resource & Energy Production estimates for pre & post construction yield
- Analyse and review third party reports
- Analyse and review data, energy production reports & site condition reports for acquisition sites
- Performance review of operational sites
- Play a key role in Due Diligence processes including leading client relationship management
As the ideal candidate for the role you will have:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in pre-construction Wind Energy Yield Analysis & University Graduate
- Wind project experience essential, solar advantageous
- Experience working for a lenders’ advisor, OEM supplier, developer, or operator of wind and/or solar projects
- Fluency in French would be an advantage
- Experience in the use of leading wind industry software (WAsP, WindPRO, …). PVsyst or other related solar resource assessment software is an advantage.
- Programming/software development experience is an advantage.
- Experience with CFD wind flow models is an advantage.
