Energy Yield Assessment Engineer - Onshore Wind

Working with developers and investors they provide a wide range of services including wind resource and energy yield assessment and you will need to be able to hit the ground running so should possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
You will play a key role in interfacing directly with clients to deliver scopes of work and advisory services to support key project decisions and will be responsible for;
- Conducting due diligence analysis for wind resource and energy yield, project capacities, turbine layout and site suitably assessments including new markets
- Wind Turbine layout design for onshore projects, experience with solar farm design is a welcome plus
- Interfacing with technology suppliers assessing available technology options including turbine suitability
- Analyse and report on site measurements including meteorological masts, LIDAR and SODAR and production data
- Producing highly accurate internal resource and energy production estimations in accordance with project timelines
- Review third party reports and subsequently providing analysis on these
- Review data and reports for potential acquisitions
- Contract review experience is a plus and the ability to lead client relationships is key
Skills and experience:
- minimum of 5 years of pre-construction Yield Analysis experience, preferably across a range of markets
- ideally experienced with both development and operational wind farms
- experience with lenders advisory, OEM supplier, developer, or operator of wind and/or solar projects.
- Strong communication skills and a strong mathematical background with a highly analytical mindset and the ability to work autonomously and communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical colleagues
- Programming/software development experience is an advantage.
- Experience in the use of WAsP, WindFarmer and AWS Openwind.
- Experience with CFD wind flow models is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and French. Other languages are an advantage.
