Do you have extensive knowledge and experience of biomass or thermal power plants? Do you have the necessary skills to be a leader through mobilisation into safe operation of a power plant?
Quanta’s client is currently one of the leading turnkey EPC specialists delivering large energy recovery projects. This includes the design, build and operation of plants for household, non-hazardous, commercial and industrial waste.
Engineering Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Development and routine management of a programme and resource schedule to deliver the FEED study, interfacing with the main contractors, leading into detailed design, procurement and construction.
- Support contract development and negotiation with vendors and regulators, with a proven ability to develop and execute contracts.
- Identify, prioritise, and manage key risks and drive their mitigation measures.
- Produce regular reports and updates on project progress, spend, resourcing and risks.
- Coordinate, chair and clearly document regular review meetings with key project stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, land owners, councils and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and provide critical review of both contractual and technical documentation, including scope documents for vendor bids, such as legal support and O&M contractors.
- Contribute to design review activities, including HAZOP, DSEAR and SIL assessments.
- Drive a culture of project excellence throughout the organisation, with specific focus on ‘on time, in full’ delivery, risk mitigation and with the highest focus on Health and Safety.
- Bachelors degree or higher in an Engineering or related field, ideally chemical or process engineering.
- Project Management accreditation (APM, PMI, etc).
- Proven and significant work experience as an Engineering Project Manager in a related field.
- Detailed knowledge of process engineering through full project lifecycle (including EPC & commissioning), ideally with a good working knowledge of C&I deployment in projects.
