Responsibilities:

• Provide strategy and expertise. Lead to global Trade Compliance team, integrate all regional views in a global Trade Compliance Centre of Excellence. Manage the execution of the global strategy for Trade Compliance. Develop the regional role Trade Compliance APAC.
• Actively follow-up on changes in regulations and share Trade Compliance trends, best practices and results, and organise knowledge distribution for the client.
• Manage the team to stay up-to-date with regulations, to identify issues, develop solutions and provide guidance to management on resolving issues to support business objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and internal policies and ensuring maximum added value (e.g., by maximising import duty savings).
• Manage the Restricted Party Screening Program for the client
• Establish and collect BU compliance statements
• Serve as a designated point of contact to regularly respond to requests for information, analysis of export compliance impact and review of contact provisions relating to export controls
• Monitor duty savings / avoidance and report
• Lead, drive and develop a global process owner organisation for Trade Compliance in order to set-up efficient and effective processes and build a strong foundation
