HSE Manager Marine Operations – Offshore Wind – Remote working with European travel

Quanta are seeking an HSE Manager working on the next generation of technology; floating wind foundations for our client to manage all aspects of Health & Safety for the Marine Operations of an upcoming floating wind project. Our client has developed a floating wind foundation concept and are backed by a major offshore wind developer.

The project is in development phase with Marine Operations set to commence in the coming months. With remote working until the Marine Operations phase when site presence in Europe will be required this is a great opportunity for a well-established HSE Manager with extensive experience for the accountability of Marine Operations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of Health and Safety for the project and interface with package leads and the project partners HSE Managers where required.
  • Daily H&S support to the development, construction and operations team involved on the project; and where applicable, liaising with project partners.
  • Assist with the development of safe systems of work for the relevant topics (risk assessments, Method Statements, permits etc.)
  • Assess, monitor, and ensure all personnel and operations are adhering to industry HSE standards and their application to the project.
  • Attend, witness and review all commissioning for new equipment implemented.
  • Present and carry out discussions to work towards improvement of coordination in safety initiatives to reduce incidents and potential hazards.
  • Implementation of incident reporting, investigation, and a proactive HSE reporting process for the project to utilise.
  • Attend Health & Safety Meetings with all project parties involved

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Experience in Mechanical and Electrical from retrospective safety matters.
  • Qualification of HSE degree or a relevant equivalent
  • Proven experience working within large scale offshore projects
