HV Erection and Cabling Supervisor.

Quanta are currently sourcing a new role for an international EPC within Waste treatment. The role is a HV Erection and Cabling supervisor for a new build Energy for Waste

Responsble for the folowing:
HV package erection, Grid Operator package and interfaces, step up transformers, HV switchboards, step down transformers, NER, LV bus bars, HV cabling supervision
  • Make sure the HV cabling contractor is working according to the priorities defined with the project team, and in accordance with the general program of work.
  • Civil work contractor deliver the corresponding area
  • HV cables bending radius, and max pulling force and the values match the manufacturer requirements.
  • HV pulling contractor is working and aware of the specifications, procedures and HV cables data sheet.
  • HV cables ends contractor is working and aware of the specifications, procedures and cables ends manufacturer data sheet.
  • connection to the earthing system, including the continuity test, tests certificates to be provided.
  • HV cables test, HV equipment test, tests certificates to be provided, limited to the construction activities.
  • Provide the company with a record of corresponding test/ check certificates.
  • Manage the clean mechanical cable pulling zone and handling area
  • Monitor weekly the progress of the HV cabling contractor with a precise follow-up (cable and connection book).
  • Ensure the HV cabling contractor work quality is as per the specification and procedure.
  • Identify technical issues, propose solution, and report to the design office for validation
  • Generate and maintain a snag list + manage the client snag list
 
Quality documentation
  • Follow the quality procedure and report accordingly (testing of cables according to local standards.
  • Gather all the quality documentation and all the needed quality certificates from the contractors doing electrical work on site.
  • In charge to complete and provide the quality file at the hand over.
  • Together with the site team and the H&S advisor, ensure work is being done in a safe way, in compliance with H&S procedures on site and with local H&S regulation.
