IT Project Manager

Project Manager - Contract - Multi-National project

Experienced Project Manager required to oversee a large scale, multi-national project to develop a user-friendly digital platform for the upcoming COP 26 climate change convention and future climate change events. We need an experienced leader who has managed large-scale, complex IT projects involving senior stakeholder expectation management and multiple complex workstreams, often involving technology implementation, change management and process changes.

The hiring process includes two Teams video interviews with the client looking to onboard someone in May 2021 for an initial 9 month contract. This can be remote working but some travel to Switzerland might be required in future (COVID dependant).

As Executive Project Manager you will:

• Ensure a high quality of delivery to customer expectations and remediate and resolve issues.
• Manage senior level stakeholder expectations.
• Serve as an effective spokesperson for the project and establish collaboration and partnerships with key officials.
• Lead multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams in project development, implementation, monitoring and assessment.
• Manage delivery teams from multiple internal and external sources.
• Have direct review of relevant documents and reports; identify and initiate follow-up actions
• Drive prioritization and feasibility discussions.
• Identify resources necessary for delivery, including required subject matter experts for guidance when needed.
• Manage project roadmaps, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Exercise due financial diligence of overall project budget.
• Leverage existing ICT technologies and tools to the extent possible. 

You will have:

• 15 years of relevant Project Management and leadership experience.
• Experience delivering multi-million-dollar enterprise-wide projects cradle to grave.
• Excellent proactive risk identification and remediation capability.
• Significant hands-on experience in large Agile implementation processes and tools.
• Well-versed in the following digital capabilities: data management and data governance, advanced analytics, cybersecurity, solution architecture components, workflows, automation, cloud hosting/migration, UI/UX practices, API development, CRM.
• Experience in data privacy considerations, local and regional regulatory constraints, non-functional considerations, including but not limited to system performance, latency, scalability, and security.
• Prince2/PMI frameworks, ITIL certification and experience.
• Experience in developing or implementing Virtual Conference Systems and familiarity with current virtual meeting solutions/tools in the market.
• Experience in organizing large Conferences or similar type of events.
• Excellent English communication skills.
