Lead Mechanical Engineer – Permanent – Copenhagen

We have an exciting new vacancy for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our client, a global provider of complex projects services in the renewable energies sector. Committed to helping their customers meet the demands of the global energy transition, our client needs your expertise for their current Offshore Wind project based in Copenhagen.

Whilst this Lead Mechanical Engineer position is based in Denmark, some site visits to Italy will be required.

Lead Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:

• Ensure the mechanical team is suitably resourced for planned objectives
• Provide assurance to the Project Engineering Manager and Client Engineer that all aspects engineering within the mechanical discipline have been carried to an acceptable standard
• Liaise with other engineering disciplines to ensure best practice is applied to the engineering of the project and comply to project specifications and standards
• Review and approve designs, checking and approving of engineering deliverables
• Undertake technical bid evaluations
• Think creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems
• Identify risks in the workplace, site and design work being undertaken
• Consider the environmental, commercial, safety and operational aspects of design

About you:

• A recognised and relevant engineering degree
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering
• Management, project management or supervisory qualification
• Excellent technical and practical engineering skills
• Competent user of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and mechanical engineering specific software.
