Lead Utilities Engineer - Biologics Expansion - Ireland

Experienced Lead Utilities Engineer required for large scale Biologics expansion project.
Due to an increase in demand in manufacturing there is a need to expand production & therefore a
state-of-the art fill-finish facility, vaccine and biologics new build is being built.
The project is currently in design phase:
- Basic/ concept design hopefully to be complete by August 2019 & Ground work started in May 2019
- The project is ever evolving and so far includes; new formulation suite, filling line, buffer prep area. In addition to, expansion of 3 warehouses onsite and expansion to the clean utilities.
Role Summary:
- You will be required to provide either CLEAN UTILITIES OR BLACK UTILITIES Engineering expertise in support of the design, construction, commissioning and qualification of a Sterile Formulation and Filling Facility.
Duties will involve:
- Managing teams involved in the design, installation, commissioning, qualification and handover
- Managing the people who are managing the equipment vendors
- Working closely and managing PM and their teams
- Provide engineering services in support of the design, construction, commissioning and qualification of a Sterile Formulation and Filling Facility. The job-holder works with the respective Engineering Team to act as client owner representative to deliver integrated engineering services to meet the Project Objectives.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to ensure project and site stakeholder inputs and requirements are clear and reflected in design deliverables.
- Managing team of 5-6 people and coordinating work with 9 other different departments.
Skills & experience required:
- Need to come from a Biologics/ fill finish background
- Lead Engineer with either good UTILITIES experience
- Start-up /new build
- Focussed from a project point of view not just CQV
- Minimum qualification BSc. or MSc./ MEng Degree in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- At least 8 years’ experience within a relevant role in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams on capital projects.
- Fill-finish experience would be a big advantage.
