Maintenance Planner - Life Science - Dublin - 12-Month Contract

Key responsibilities:
  • Prioritising safety in engineering planning – identify risks associated with any tasks and putting in place mitigations as required.
  • Working closely with the wider reliability team, including Technicians and Engineers to develop the current planning strategies for optimum use of downtime windows and resources.
  • Prioritise and plan maintenance activities based on criticality, equipment downtime, production schedules and Clean Utilities end users.
  • Oversight of daily, weekly, monthly reliability /calibration plans & scheduling/assignment of GMP Reliability activities through CMMS system, with Right First-Time mindset.
  • Review work order requests, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialised maintenance tasks or repairs.
  • Assist in the development of reliability procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Laboratory Owners and Quality Assurance, to optimise reliability processes and minimise production disruptions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to reliability technicians and other team members as needed.
  • Ensure correct permits in place for activities and external contractors.
  • Co-ordination with stores Dept. to ensure spare parts available for all planned work.
  • SLA management including renewals and optimisation.
 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Bioengineering. Relevant technical certifications will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering planning or as part of a reliability team, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical processing equipment.
  • CMMS experience in Maximo, SAP or similar.
  • Strong communications, organisational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment, use of Spotfire an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of standard software applications, MS Excel, Sharepoint.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyse complex issues and propose practical solutions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as cGMP, FDA, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Flexible and amenable to change with ability to work independently and remotely when required.
