Our biotech client with manufacturing facilities just outside London is currently investing significantly in their manufacturing programme.  This state-of-the-art facility houses high-technology and next-gen processes to produce drugs that are distributed throughout the Globe. The site is easily reachable by two major airports and has excellent transport links throughout.

The client is currently seeking the expertise of a Manufacturing Shift Manager to join their Production department.

In this role, you will plan, organise and manage productions activities across designate process streams to ensure that the planned outputs are produced safely, efficiently, on time, up to cGMP standards and within budget. You will lead a team of up to 12 staff and be responsible for overseeing and managing all activities. The role will consist of Authority/Decision Making, Capital Expenditure, People Management, Production Management, incident Management, Regulations, People Management, Health & Safety, and Continuous Improvement.

You will have the following experience/qualifications:
  • Proven ability to manage, inspire and develop large teams
  • Experience of using KPI data to recognise trends allowing you to devise and implement improvement plans
  • Experience of working within an aseptic/equipment/processing environment to GMP standards
  • Experience in the following industries
    • Food
    • Brewery
    • Diary
  • Strong experience of effectively planning, organising and managing production activities
