Mechanical Project Engineer – Life Science – Contract- Leiden

Are you local to the Netherlands and would you like to join a leading biopharmaceutical company in their mission to make a difference, changing lives through their scientific pursuits? Our client, a discoverer and developer of innovative medicines, are recruiting for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their brand-new build cell therapy project on a 12-month contractual basis.

Mechanical Project Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Role is part of a large client Project Team working on one of the largest Cell Therapy Projects in Europe. This is 23,000 sq/m construction site with more than 400 contractors on site from 16 different nationalities.
  • Part of the Mechanical Walk down team accepting ownership from the contractor team to the client team.
  • Review of handover documentation packs from contractors involved in commissioning
  • Good understanding and awareness of H&S on a large site.
  • Supporting commissioning of multiple Mechanical Systems including HVAC, PW, CW, CA, LPHW, LN2 and CO2.
About you:
  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services. (Experience in large scale HVAC significant advantage)
  • Previous experience working on medium / large scale Capital Project in the Pharma Sector.
  • 5+ years Project Engineer or Project Manager Experience
  • Experience in working part of large project teams.
