Onshore Civil Engineer – Copenhagen - Denmark

Our client are a leading developer in the industry, owning and developing projects across all major and emerging onshore wind markets. They are now recruiting with a superb new opportunity for an Onshore Civil Engineer to join them on an initial 3 contractual basis, based in Copenhagen.  

With a significant track record of successfully delivering projects and a vast project pipeline across the UK, Europe and emerging international markets, this is an incredibly exciting time to join them in their current project.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure alignment with the safety in design, best practices and our clients policies.
• Support Offshore Operations in driving the lifecycle implementation strategy for the installed works. 
• Engage in document and design reviews for the onshore civil works.
• Management of contractors and sub-consultants, ensuring that safety in design is appropriately accounted for in the designs and that quality requirements are met.
• Work closely across all interfaces with: internal stakeholders, external design houses and Contractors to produce cost-effective and value-added solutions.
• Ensure all lessons learned from the completed works are incorporated into future projects.

Required experience:

• A proven track record in civil engineering, preferably with experience in Danish construction projects and/or cable installation.
• An excellent understanding of the range of available civil engineering techniques and their impact on other disciplines, including trenchless methods with a practical approach to implementation.
• The capability to work within a team and to manage specialist consultants with competing demands from the project.
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively within a team
• The strategic development for the onshore works to meet project targets. 
• Strong coordination and leadership skills; highly motivated, confident and resourceful
• Fluent in English speaking/writing
