Operational Excellence Lead - Permanent - North Carolina

This is a permanent opportunity for someone with the ability to engage with all levels of technology operation teams, quality, engineering, business process owners, and management to innovate, facilitate change, and implement processes to support business growth.

You will coordinate with a variety of functional areas to develop, test and refine business processes and practices to provide the site with a competitive advantage.  With the goal is to maximize value through efficient systems and practices. This role is responsible for Americas-wide process design, using data and metrics to drive continuous improvement and optimization efforts by reducing waste and inefficiencies.

Our client is looking for someone with a background of: 

• Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering and Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Desirable Additional Education:  PMP or other project management certification
• Technical experience in industry (i.e., previously held position in technical operations, quality, or engineering function)
• Demonstrated proficiency and practical application of Continuous improvement tools (Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC), Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, A3, Statistical Process Control, Root Cause, Change Management, 5 Whys)
• Experience managing multiple high impact, cross-functional projects at one time.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization
• Advanced time management skills
• Strong analytical acumen
• Ability to anticipate issues and work with team to creatively problem solve.
• Ability to distill project updates into meaningful updates for senior management team.
