Responsibilities:

The Party Chief has overall responsibility for all survey related activities related to the scope of work performed by the vessel. They shall ensure that all the operations are conducted as per task plans, procedures, and Offshore policies.

• Jointly responsible for any safety related matters on board if they concern survey activities.
• Perform and/or supervise the survey activities during Cable Lay, burial, and de-burial operations.
• Safeguard smooth operations using communication and cooperation.
• Primary point of contact for the Survey Team members:
  • Instruct team members of project requirements, planning and expectations.
  • Organise internal meetings when needed to increase survey general and project specific knowledge to increase the operational performance improvement.
  • Assure the operational condition of the survey equipment used during cable installations, trenching and de-burial works:
•  Supervise the real-time QA/QC of the survey equipment, survey navigation displays and provide any additional information needed to ensure smooth, safe operations and comply with contractual obligations.
• Report to the onshore project team via the onshore project survey manager

Requirements:

• Certificates: BOSIET, GWO Sea Survival, GWO Working At Heights, GWO Fire Awareness, GWO First Aid, GWO Manual Handling, Medical offshore (incl. Shoulder Measurement & Chester Step)
• Fluent in English
• Skills in IT
• Experience in Online Surveying
