Planner - Life Science - Contract - Maryland

Are you looking for the opportunity to work with a global biopharmaceutical company? This is your chance! Our client develops and delivers life changing medicines to millions of people globally and as part of their growth, they are looking for a Planner to help support operations at their Maryland facility.

With their Drug Substance (DS) manufacturing network growing rapidly, they are committed to growing their portfolio of commercial biologics products supplied worldwide – and this is your opportunity to be involved!


Planner’s Responsibilities:
  • Providing oversight of the current project portfolio to ensure schedules and timelines are met.
  • Specific support will be provided to the Lead Planner on the schedule for the expansion programme.
  • Providing project planning (scheduling) support to the project team.
  • Manage the project schedules in accordance with the project work breakdown structure and ensuring that project schedules are developed.
  • Assuring that project plans are regularly updated and within levels of certainty to allow effective monitoring, forecasting and control.
  • Ensuring that project schedules conform to the Change Control Process, in terms of liaison, communication and calculation of change notes and change orders.
  • Ensure that standard Project Planning requirements are met, understood and embedded from both Contractors and Sub-Contractors into the project systems.
  • Producing planning reports for input into the monthly reporting process.

About you:
  • Extensive experience in planning of large CAPEX projects (such as Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical) in multi-discipline teams.
  • Construction, EPC & CQV Scheduling experience.
  • Experience of delivering the schedule for projects of similar levels of complexity would be ideal
  • Planning responsibility through lifecycle covering Detailed design, Construction and CQV to handover.
