We are currently supporting a world leading energy organisation who as part of the ever-growing green energy transition are seeking to aggressively expand their presence within the renewables market, mainly focused on Wind and Solar PV projects.
As part of their growth they are growing their team in Scotland, you will be based from Glasgow and our client are keen on hearing from candidates who fit the profile on either a contract consultant or permanent staff basis.
Their planned growth is via the development and operation of their own assets and also by utilising their financial position to grow via acquisition of assets. The PPA Advisor / Originator is a key role in the trading/commercial function of their plans.
In order to secure this exciting opportunity interested candidates must possess existing renewable energy Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) expertise from the Vendor side of transactions having demonstrable utility or advisory firm experience.
You would utilise this experience to support project teams with the structuring (along with other relevant colleagues) Power Purchase Agreement offerings, identification of Power Purchase Agreement opportunities and interested parties and end to end management and involvement in high value PPA transactions.
Typical Responsibilities:
- market development, origination and structuring of PPAs
- development, negotiation and closing of PPAs including commercial aspects, bankability and offtake
- engagement with Corporate, Utilities, Traders, Commercial and Industrial customers
