Principal Designer - Energy from Waste - Glasgow - 6-Month Contract

Quanta’s client is a global leader in providing their clients with help and support at all project stages, including front-end engineering design studies, owner’s engineer services, engineering-procurement-construction-management (EPCM) services, operation, and maintenance support.

Their technologies covered include battery storage, CCGT & OCGT, waste-to-energy, carbon capture and hydrogen.

Responsibilities:

• Providing consultancy support to ensure the client execute their duties as a Principal Designer as defined in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 of the United Kingdom (the “CDM Regs”).
• Providing support to our client in their role as Principal Designer as defined in the CDM Regs to meet or exceed the Client's EHS expectations.
• Support our client in their requirement to advise and support the Client and Customer to ensure project compliance with the requirements of the duties of Principal Designer under the CDM regulations.
• Assist the Client in compiling the preconstruction information.

Requirements:

• Must communicate requirements clearly, concisely, and effectively to pass through any language barriers.
• Must have an attitude of working with our engineering team to make iterative design improvements.
• Energy from Waste experience preferred
• Proven experience working with an EPC
