Process Engineer – Cork – Pharmaceuticals

One of our global Pharmaceutical clients is looking for a Process Engineer to join their team close to the picturesque and historical city of Cork. The site is renowned for manufacturing excellence and plays a vital role in the company's large-scale biotech operations worldwide.

The site has received €130 million in investment over the last five years to continue the growth and expansion of the facility; with new products coming to the site, it is an exciting time to join the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • The Process Engineer is responsible for introducing new processes and/or products (product transfer).
  • The Process Engineer will develop and transfer knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Change Management, and Inclusion.
  • Steer and/or participate in cross-functional investigations on problems/deviations-including defining corrective and preventive actions.
  • Identify, analyse and prioritize technical or business-related processes improvement-opportunities and problems.
  • Initiate and coordinate improvements for technical or business processes, systems, and behaviours.
  • Contribute to a data driven decision making process, ensure effective application of Lean Six Sigma and Change Management tools by leading projects, facilitating kaizens, and coaching sponsors and practitioners.
  • Works with moderate work direction and is skilled and knowledgeable to the position.
Requirements:
  • Level 8 honours degree in a science, engineering, or manufacturing discipline.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment in a technical or manufacturing support role.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
  • Knowledge of and experience in applying Lean Six Sigma and Lean methodologies, with an understanding of regulatory and validation requirements.
  • Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.
