Programme Manager with experience in manufacturing operations required to join a global pharmaceutical organisation in the London area.

Our client, a global pharmaceutical company in the London area, is looking for a Programme Manager to support them during an optimisation programme across the Pharmaceutical Global Manufacturing Supply business.
This is targeted specifically at improving the performance across the business. (Continuous improvement and streamlining).
Focus is on the transformation through planning and the re-design of this operational model. This specific work stream is focused on two highly confidential new programmes.

Duties / Deliverables / Measurable’s for the role:
  • Providing oversight of the current project portfolio to ensure schedules and timelines are met.
  • The Key individual responsible for overall project knowledge and execution according to agreed upon deliverables and timeline.
  • Lead and build cross-functional project teams comprising of representatives from relevant functions;
  • chair internal and customer project teams.
  • Demonstrate success in technical proficiency as required for respective business unit.
  • Oversight of Work Stream within Customer service as part of a much larger Programme across the Global Manufacturing Supply Chain – Pharma.

Experience / Key Skills required:

Specific Knowledge:

  • Good knowledge of project management processes, tools and techniques and of quality systems
  • Optimisation of systems and processes
  • Experience of building level 3 plans, implementing programme controls and reporting to relevant stakeholders/management.
Specific Skills:
  • High level of interpersonal, motivational and people management skills, facilitation, risk management and communication skills
  • Able to apply project management knowledge effectively in a pharmaceutical environment
Previous work experience:
  • Prior experience either establishing or working in a project management office environment
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a relevant transformation programme
  • Proven track record in project management in a relevant environment
  • Experience working within cross-functional teams, multicultural and matrix environments
  • Ability to drive projects from conception through development and implementation to full operation
  • Previous experience of Manufacturing Operations – specifically Pharma / GMP would be ideal.
