Project Controller

Project Controller – Financial specialism – Renewable Energy – Sweden – 12 month contract

Our client, a leading renewable energy developer are seeking a Project Controller with Financial specialism to support them with the development of wind energy projects across Europe & Asia.

This role would be working within the Controlling (Finance) function and support all offshore development and construction projects globally in terms of financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting and investment decisions.

You should possess the relevant skills to manage the finance elements of a project as well as support and challenge the business on their financials. With the ability to collate information from financial systems to produce insightful reports and updates. The role will work closely with project teams to support the achievement of development funding approvals. Additionally, compiling project financials with relevant internal stakeholders & liaising with investment teams in relation to the financial models they produce, this is a varied role.

Deliverables:

• Supporting any financial modelling for investment decisions, specifically the management of assumption books.
• Liaising with technical project teams to understand the financial inputs required by the investment model.
• Reviewing of project results, comparing actuals with forecasts and budget figures
• Liaising with internal / external stakeholders on all project costs related matters as and when required
• Collate plans and forecast figures that are relevant for the projects managed, including KPI’s & cash flow statements
• Coordinate with the project team and all stakeholders on other requests
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis as and when required
• Support all process improvements, reduce manual interventions and promote the use of relevant systems

Experience:

• Experience in Excel
• Experience within SAP or similar system
• Previous experience in a management accounting role
• A general understanding of tax/accounting rules (capitalisation)

Desirable Experience:

• Investment modelling experience
• Energy Industry or Project Development experience
• Experience or knowledge of a renewables development is an advantage
