Project Engineer - Contract - Germany

An opportunity to join a lead engineering company that specialises in renewable energy. The role of the Project Engineer is as follows:
  • Responsible and independent technical procurement and processing of process engineering components as part of thermal waste treatment plants and gas cleaning plants
  • Examination of tender documents and contract documents
  • Creation of request specifications based on the respective customer contract as well as the procedural and constructive boundary conditions
  • Detailed assessment of technical offers in the form of offer comparisons
  • Conducting the technical contract negotiations
  • Component processing within the overall orders in cooperation with internal and external specialist departments, with sub-suppliers, consortiums, customers and their consultants
  • Cost and deadline tracking of the purchased system components
  • Checking the engineering of component suppliers
  • Processing of remaining and defect points
  • Processing claims and complaints
  • Checking the technical documentation
  • Data management and document management
  • Support of the specialist project manager in the processing of components
 
The ideal candidate must have the following skills and experience:
  • Engineering training in the field of mechanical engineering with a focus on construction or process engineering
  • Sound knowledge in the field of process engineering and electrical and control engineering
  • General knowledge in the areas of layout planning and materials science
  • English and Germany Language Skills
